The Hawaii Department of Transportation demonstrated the use of concrete made with recycled CO₂ for road construction, courtesy of Island Ready-Mix. The demonstration saved a total of 1,500 pounds of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere.
RBC Centre Multi-Pad Arena - Dartmouth, NS
Thomas Concrete’s use of CarbonCure concrete for the Georgia Aquarium expansion project saved a total of 328,632 pounds of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere, which is equivalent to the amount of CO₂ sequestered by 175 acres of forest in one year.

The Dartmouth Multi-Pad Arena is the first building project that incorporated both CarbonCure ready mix and masonry products, courtesy of Quality Concrete and Shaw Brick and Stone, respectively. A total of 207,458 pounds of CO₂ were saved during the construction of this building.
Ambassatours Gray Line Headquarters - Halifax, NS
Thomas Concrete poured 48,000 cubic yards of concrete made with the CarbonCure Technology, diverting 680 metric tonnes (1.5 million lbs.) of CO₂ from the atmosphere.
Halifax’s Ambassatours has built a 32,0000 square foot building that will be their new corporate headquarters and serve as their bus depot. A total of 26,756 pounds of CO₂ were saved during the construction of this building.
