CarbonCure’s Jennifer Wagner named a Climate Trailblazer
Wagner among 22 recipients from six continents to be recognized for her role in “taking ambition to the next level” as part of this week’s Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco
CarbonCure Technologies proudly announces that Executive Vice President Jennifer Wagner has been named a Climate Trailblazer as part of the Global Climate Action Summit held this week in San Francisco.
The Summit’s 22 Climate Trailblazers are a set of diverse leaders from six continents who are stepping up to tackle ambitious climate challenges in one of the Summit’s five focus areas: Healthy Energy Systems, Inclusive Economic Growth, Sustainable Communities, Land and Ocean Stewardship and Transformative Climate Investments.
The Summit delegates include business leaders Michael Bloomberg and Bernard Tyson; Mayors Anne Hidalgo of Paris and Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles; Governors Jay Inslee of Washington and Jerry Brown of California; federal representatives Minister Catherine McKenna of Environment and Climate Change (Canada) and former Vice President Al Gore; and even Hollywood legends Harrison Ford and Alec Baldwin.
“Jennifer is the heart and soul of CarbonCure,” says CarbonCure CEO Rob Niven. “Her fierce determination coupled with her unwavering passion for sustainability has been a driving force behind CarbonCure’s early commercialization and rapid growth. We couldn’t recommend a more deserving individual to be recognized as a Climate Trailblazer.”
Wagner was recognized for her efforts leading CarbonCure’s team on its mission to reduce the carbon footprint of the built environment, including its participation as a finalist in the $20M NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE Challenge. Wagner is the only female team lead among the 10 remaining XPRIZE finalists.
The Summit includes hundreds of affiliate events, including the Carbon Smart Building Day, of which CarbonCure is a sponsor; Building a New Carbon Economy, which will feature XPRIZE finalists; and the Canadian Cleantech Reception hosted by Minister McKenna, which will showcase CarbonCure’s solution to reduce the carbon footprint of the built environment.
