Lee Masonry Partners with CarbonCure to Accelerate KY and TN Green Building Development
Lee Brick & Block and Southland Brick & Block install CarbonCure’s Technology to service Tennessee and Kentucky markets
Louisville-KY & Murfreesboro-TN, Kentucky’s largest masonry producer, Lee Brick and Blockand their subsidiary Southland Brick and Block, have partnered with to be the first in their market to offer masonry made with recycled CO2in Tennessee and Kentucky. As first to market, Lee will be accelerating the green building market in their areas by giving local architects, engineers, and building owners alternatives to build greener on their construction projects.
CarbonCure's technology offers concrete producers an opportunity to recycle waste carbon dioxide (CO2) into concrete to increase its environmental, material, and economic performance. The CO2 is permanently converted into a solid mineral within the concrete to provide a quality masonry product without compromising aesthetic, quality, or price.
“Our communities are moving towards building for the future,” says Carol Lee, CEO of Lee Masonry. “Lee Masonry believes that we can support and accelerate the green infrastructure market momentum by supplying greener masonry with the addition of CarbonCure’s technology to our product offering ultimately to help enable a sustainable future.”

In a city level study by CBRE,Louisville in particular, has seen a 7% increase in green buildingadoption between 2015 and 2016.
