Accomplished Construction Materials Executive Joins CarbonCure Board of Directors

Former Lafarge Canada and Amrize executive David Redfern brings decades of leadership experience in concrete, cement, aggregates and construction materials.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, October 7, 2026 – CarbonCure Technologies today announced that David Redfern has joined the company’s Board of Directors. Redfern brings to the Board more than three decades of leadership experience in concrete, cement, aggregates and construction materials across North America and global markets and deep expertise in supply chains, supplementary cementitious materials, circular economy initiatives, mineralization technologies and industrial decarbonization.

“David's executive leadership and dynamic experience across the construction value chain adds another strong industry perspective to our Board,” said CarbonCure CEO Yuliya Kravtsov. “His background in the commercialization and operational leadership of new building material solutions makes him especially well-positioned to guide our growth across global markets. CarbonCure is already benefiting from his input and insights.”

Most recently, Redfern served as President of North America Aggregates & Construction Materials for Amrize where he led the creation of a unified North American platform as part of the separation and public listing of Holcim's North American business. In a prior role, as President and Country CEO for Eastern Canada at Lafarge Canada, he led the integrated construction materials business and advanced digital transformation and testing of lower carbon solutions, including carbon mineralization.

“I’m proud to join CarbonCure as a member of its Board of Directors,” Redfern said. “My first experience with CarbonCure was at Lafarge Canada, early in the company’s development. That gives me a first-hand perspective on how much CarbonCure and its tech have matured. Today, the company has built a global network of sustainability-focused concrete producers and industry partners across more than two dozen countries, with nearly 12 million truckloads produced using its technology. That combination of scale, operating experience and maturity is why I’m excited to be joining CarbonCure now.”

Introducing David Redfern CarbonCure Board Director

Redfern is the former Chairman of the Cement Association of Canada where he advanced industry collaboration around the Concrete Zero Roadmap. In 2025, Redfern founded Kyverra Group, where he advises boards, investors and industrial companies on market transformation, growth strategies and technology adoption.

“What stands out to me today is how well CarbonCure integrates into standard batching operations and, importantly, reliably stacks on top of a diverse range of mix designs, cement types and cement replacements,” Redfern said. “The promise for producers is straightforward: Maintain the quality and performance customers expect; lower material costs and embodied carbon; create new revenue opportunities.”
