CarbonCure Technologies Announces Additions to Leadership Team

New COO and VP of Carbon Products & Public Policy will bring their Big Tech experience to scaling CarbonCure’s climate tech.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, November 9, 2023CarbonCure Technologies, the global leader in carbon dioxide removal technologies for the concrete industry, is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Henson as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chris Davis as Vice President of Carbon Products and Public Policy. Both new additions to CarbonCure’s Leadership team bring a wealth of experience, including tenures with Government and tech giants Amazon and Microsoft.

Henson is a seasoned executive with a strong record of operational excellence, product incubation, product design, leadership development, international operations and optimizing businesses at scale. Before CarbonCure, he held various leadership roles at Microsoft and Amazon and led strategic partnership teams for major platforms like Windows, Xbox and Fire TV. Henson also serves as an advisory board member at Carbon Leadership Forum. Based in Seattle, he is actively involved with initiatives such as Drawdown Seattle and the Seattle Climate Change Meetup.

Davis also lives in Seattle where he most recently served as Head of Sustainability for Amazon's International Public Policy team. There, he oversaw global public policy efforts aimed at supporting Amazon's sustainability goals and led engagement on carbon markets and the treatment of carbon credits in regulation and voluntary GHG accounting standards. Prior to joining Amazon, Davis was the Climate and Energy Policy advisor to Governor Jay Inslee of Washington state where he led the Governor’s clean energy legislative agenda and helped pass landmark legislation on clean electricity, carbon pricing and low carbon buildings.

Davis also commented on his new role, adding, "I'm excited to create opportunities for CarbonCure's growth through smart public policy and our high-integrity carbon credit product. CarbonCure has been a leader in educating policymakers and the industry on carbon removal and procurement policies that will move the needle. Building on that policy work and expanding our carbon credit sales, we can incentivize more rapid industry adoption while rewarding our concrete producer partners.”
